Everything about holy water in The Quran
Holy water is on no occasion referenced in Quranic text.
Nevertheless the recognition and drinking of blessed water known as ‘healing water’ (ab-i shifa), is a documented ritual within the Twelver Shia tradition. According to his tradition, the dust of scared locations such as Karbala and Najaf, are dissolved in water and consumed. This ritual functions as a cure for physical illnesses and spiritual weakness.
The ancient Ismaili tradition, which dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries, involves the ritual of drinking water that has been blessed by the Imam of the time. The blessed water holds profound spiritual meaning and is consumed in the name of the Iman that performed the blessing.
