Everything about The Quran

The most expensive copy of the Quran was sold at auction for $2.33 million at Christies auctioneers in the city of London in the year 2007.

The copy was written in the year 1203 (Islamic Calendar: 17 Ramadan 599), signed by Yahya Bin Muhammad Ibn ‘Umar, and is believed to the oldest known complete and dated copy of the book in existence.

This record-breaking price is the highest sum paid on the open market for any type of Islamic manuscript.
