Everything about gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in The Bible
Like all romantic pursuits, love involves the usual, and the unusual.
The Bible is an advocate of wedlock and childbearing. One of the most cited passages in the book of Genesis is Gods approval for humankind to be 'fruitful and multiply'.
Following this divine consent, the most likely form of childbearing is through the sexual union of woman and man. The establishment of marriage within Christianity exists exclusively for the unification of men and women, not for any other kind of union.
Therefore, in keeping with these traditional beliefs, same-sex marriage is considered improper because the purpose of marriage is to reproduce and only opposite-sex couples can naturally, without intervention of any kind, produce offspring.
Contrary to what many people believe about the Bible's position on gay relationships and gay love, there are very few passages on gay opinions in biblical texts. The texts in the Bible that refer to gay love and gay relations focus solely on the physical acts of sodomy (anal sex) and the consequences thereof. Furthermore, the very notion of sexual orientation is totally absent in the Bible. The reason for this total lack of representation for gay people and sexual orientation in the Bible is exactly the same reason why electric cars and laptops aren't mentioned in the Bible, and also why computer programmers aren't represented in Biblical texts. Because they did not exist in biblical times.
